Busy on Election Day?
You can also vote during advance vote from October 14 to October 19, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

You can vote if you:

  • Are a Canadian citizen,
  • Are a resident in the City of Toronto,
  • Are a non-resident of the City of Toronto, but you or your spouse own or rent property in the City, and
  • Not prohibited from voting under any law.

Get Listed
It is important that you are on the voters' list as it makes voting fast and easy. Check that you are on the list by:

  • Visiting the City's My Vote tool for everything you need to know to vote,
  • Calling 416-338-1111,
  • Adding your name at the voting place when you go to vote.

Remember to Bring

  1. Identification - one piece showing your name and qualifying (Toronto) address
  2. Voter Information Card (VIC) will be sent in the mail early October, which tells you when and where to vote on election day and advance vote

Accessible Elections
The City of Toronto is committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal access to elections. Highlights of services for persons with disabilities include:

  • Voting places - all locations will be accessible.
  • Voting equipment - the Voter Assist Terminal allows people with disabilities to use assistive devices to mark their ballot independently. It will be at all advance vote locations and one location per ward on election day.

Other services - voting guide in 25 languages, proxy voting, ballot transfers and curb-side voting available upon request.

If you have any accessibility-related questions, please feel free to call the City of Toronto Elections office at 416-338-1111 (press 6). General election information including accessibility services will be sent to each household across the City in early October.
