Membership and Program Fees

To participate in the programs offered at the Centre an annual membership fee of $15.00 is charged. Memberships are renewed annually in September of each year. A partial fee is charged for members joining part way through the year. Additional fees are charged for certain instructional classes, as well as for congregate dining, the podiatry clinic, special events and outings. Congregate Dining Program

All four groups have an active congregate dining program.  A minimal fee is charged for the meal. The Chinese speaking group and the Tamil speaking group provide one meal each week, including a monthly birthday celebration.

The English speaking and Bangladeshi groups hold luncheons once a month and on occasion special luncheons are also arranged for our transportation clients.

Computer Classes

Computer classes are offered in all four languages and at various levels from beginners to advanced internet use and have become one of our most popular programs.  Each session is ten classes and new sessions start throughout the year.  A minimal fee is charged for these classes.  To register, please call the Program Office at 416-752-0101 during business hours.

Podiatry Clinics

Podiatry clinics are held every six weeks at Harmony Hall.  Cost is $10.00 per person and a podiatrist comes to trim toe nails.  Pre-registration is required.  For clinic dates, see the English speaking group's monthly calendar.  To register, please call the Programs Office at 416-752-0101.

Workshops, Outings and Joint Events

Educational workshops on topics of interest to seniors are arranged by all four groups during the course of the year. See News and Events on our Home Page or check out the monthly calendars and newsletters for more information on upcoming events.

Trips and outings are a regular part of the programming for all four groups. There is a minimal charge for these outings to cover the cost of admission and transportation.

All four groups are encouraged to attend each other’s special cultural celebrations throughout the year. such as the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival , Chinese and Tamil New Year celebrations, Diwali, St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas, to name a few.  Other joint events such as a Fashion Show and International Food Day are also organized annually to enable the groups to learn more about each other’s traditions.
