Call-A-Service Inc. provides transportation to seniors and permanently disabled adults who live in the Old East York and Southwest Scarborough catchment area and are unable to use public transit because of physical and/or mental limitations.

Our fleet of vehicles consists of four vans and two sedans. Service is provided by both staff and volunteer drivers. A nominal fee is charged and the rates are set based on the distance travelled. If a client requires an escort to accompany him/her to the appointment, an additional fee of $1.00 each way is charged.
Priority is given to clients requesting transportation to medical appointments, but the service also includes rides to and from adult day programs, grocery and personal shopping trips, outings and rides to and from Harmony Hall for program participants.
To be eligible for this service you must be registered with the Transportation Department.
There is no charge to register for the transportation service. Simply call the Transportation Office at 416-752-8868 Monday to Friday during business hours. Linda, Gayle, or Kim will be pleased to help you. You will be asked a few simple questions to enable staff to complete an intake form. and you are registered ... it is that simple!
Transportation is provided for individuals residing within the boundaries of the former Borough of East York – Eglinton Avenue East to the north, Bayview Avenue to the west, Danforth Avenue to the south and Midland Road to the east -- as well as for residents of Southwest Scarborough, which is defined as follows --- Victoria Park Avenue to the west, Kennedy Road to the east, Eglinton Avenue East to the north and the lake to the south.
Clients residing in either of the above catchment areas can request transportation to destinations within the following boundaries: 401 to the north, Spadina Avenue to the west, Lakeshore Boulevard to the south and Markham Road to the east. Outside of these boundaries we also service the following hospitals: Toronto Western, North York General, Scarborough Grace and Rouge Valley Health System.
The Transportation Department is open Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Rides can be booked any time during that period. The first pickup is at 7:30 a.m. and the drivers need to be back at the office by 5:00 p.m.
Call-A-Service Inc. is a scheduled transportation service and rides are booked on a first come first served basis, with priority being given to medical appointments. Rides should be booked at least three business days in advance if at all possible. However, we do make every effort to accommodate last minute requests.

A cancellation fee, the equivalent of a one-way fare, is charged for any ride cancelled on the same day as the scheduled ride.'
